"Parents must bring light and truth into their homes by one family prayer, one scripture study session, one family home evening, one book read aloud, one song, and one family meal at a time. They know that the influence of righteous, conscientious, persistent, daily parenting is among the most powerful and sustaining forces for good in the world. The health of any society, the happiness of its people, their prosperity, and their peace all find common roots in the teaching of children in the home." - Elder L. Tom Perry

Day 4 in Cali

Here are a bunch of pics from visiting Sea World- we got there right as they opened and had a fabulous day. Isa was really grumpy until lunch though. Turns out Dramamine makes her grumpy-not tantrum grumpy, just like depressing grumpy. It was about a 30 min. drive though and I didn't want her throwing up, so I gave her Dramamine... not sure if it was worth it though :)
-We rented a stroller, got a map, and the kids wanted their snacks as soon as their butts hit the seats!-
-Sea Lions-

-Hyrum & daddy feeding the sea lions some nasty fish. Isa & mommy were SO AGAINST this activity!! Definitely a BOY thing to do. Funny story- there were these crazy birds flying around waiting to snatch the fish and one flew right to Hyrum & stole the fish as soon as he had it in his hand. He was pretty surprised, but he threw the next fish really fast so the bird wouldn't get it. He LOVES to retell this story and he does it with so much drama in his voice and gets his arms swinging around showing you how the bird snatched the fish from him- HILARIOUS!!-

-Isa entertaining herself while we waited for the Sea Lion show to start-

-This Sea Lion show was so funny! We were laughing up a storm and it is pretty amazing what these animals can do! Had some funny skits- Dancing with the Stars & American Idol were our favs.-

-Time for a GIANT popsicle break. I totally ate their leftovers when they wimped out halfway through... so yummy since it was 80 degrees outside!!-

The second show we went to was Shamu. It was more of an inspirational show than funny/entertaining so the kids were kind of bored... and Isabelle was at her rock bottom grumpiness. I thought the whales were absolutely beautiful though and James enjoyed the show too.

James suggested we eat lunch to launch Isa from her grumpy state and he was totally right. It worked like a charm.

-The last show we saw was the dolphins and it was our favorite. The put a lot of work into this one. There were people flying all around in beautiful costumes doing acrobatic stuff and diving, exotic birds flying all over the stadium and the dolphins were amazing! Very well put together show. The kids even loved it.-
-We ended the day with some cotton candy back at our condo. I took a pic of Hyrum to remind he one day that I actually let him get his shirt dirty once :) Fun day!!-
-A pic with the souvenirs they picked out rather quickly- they knew what they wanted! Isa got a whale which she named "Cotton Candy" and Hyrum got a Sea World semi truck.-
