Easter 2010

Easter was FABULOUS! I really enjoyed having Easter and General Conference on the same weekend. I can't wait to study all the talks about being a better mother and wife! The kids enjoyed their Easter treats and new toy (which is a mud pie making station meant for outside, but Idaho weather is so flippin lame right now). I also made them some play dough and brought out their little table into the living room along with tons of artsy stuff to keep their little hands occupied throughout the different talks. In between the sessions we had Easter dinner at my parents. My mom made a delicious carrot cake- it was AMAZING :) Menan has an Easter egg hunt every year at the park, but the weather was AWFUL!! Tons of snow, and extreme winds... so it was cancelled. Isabelle still asks me every day when she wakes up, "is this the day of the Easter egg hunt at the park?" They are going to reschedule it so the kids will get to enjoy it eventually. We hid some eggs around the living room for the kids to find when they woke up. Hyrum's eggs had dinosaurs on them and Isa's were girly colors. My parents also had an easter egg hunt sent up at their house. Hyrum was really fast at getting the eggs. He would run from egg to egg quickly putting them in his basket. Isa on the other hand would find an egg, look at it, open it, dump the contents in the basket, close the egg, and THEN move on to the next egg. We ended up having to give some of Hyrum's eggs to Isa so they would have the same number :) It was a great weekend and the kids definitely enjoyed all the family time... now if only the weather would get better so we could enjoy the swing set, sand box, mud pie making station and the long walks on the walk path. Please warm weather... come save my kids from boredom!!
