"Parents must bring light and truth into their homes by one family prayer, one scripture study session, one family home evening, one book read aloud, one song, and one family meal at a time. They know that the influence of righteous, conscientious, persistent, daily parenting is among the most powerful and sustaining forces for good in the world. The health of any society, the happiness of its people, their prosperity, and their peace all find common roots in the teaching of children in the home." - Elder L. Tom Perry

4th of July

So I tried to take a cute pic of my kids in their outfits, but they weren't being very photogenic at the moment... okay so they were not cooperating at all! This is all I got:
We spent the day doing our usual: breakfast at the park, hang with family, games/face painting and checking out booths over at the church, parade, family dinner, duck race and fireworks. Very fun day! Isabelle enjoyed getting to stay up until 11:30pm (she ALWAYS goes to bed between 6:30 & 7pm). I was surprised that she didn't even start being disobedient- I'm sure it was since she was kept busy the whole time. Hyrum went to bed at his usual time of 6:30pm so he slept right on through the night time festivities. It was a nice holiday- definately one of our favorites to celebrate!
