"Parents must bring light and truth into their homes by one family prayer, one scripture study session, one family home evening, one book read aloud, one song, and one family meal at a time. They know that the influence of righteous, conscientious, persistent, daily parenting is among the most powerful and sustaining forces for good in the world. The health of any society, the happiness of its people, their prosperity, and their peace all find common roots in the teaching of children in the home." - Elder L. Tom Perry

Day 6 in Cali

San Diego Zoo:
We had a great time at the zoo- spent about half the day there. We dressed for really warm weather since every day had been in the 80's so far, so of course this would be the ONE day that was FREEZING!!! We ended up paying WAY too much for some pullovers for the kiddos so they could enjoy themselves, but such is life :)
-The giraffes were probably the whole family's favorite!-
-We had to be really quiet around the panda bears so they wouldn't be scared so any time we see a picture of a panda bear or a toy panda bear the kids always try to be really quiet... kinda funny what they remember at times.-

-Hyrum flying a helicopter.-

-Hyrum with an elephant... he LOVES elephants!!- Isabelle was not in a picture taking mood... could have been the dramamine again....

-Isabelle playing on a little area they had set up for kids by the elephants.-

-Hyrum & Isabelle riding the elephant toy.-
Some more fun pics:
Here is the pic of the kids with there outrageously expensive pullovers that make them look like hoodlums:
Pics with their souvenirs:
Isabelle named her cute little monkey "baby Sage" since she had just fallen in love with her beautiful new cousin named Sage :)

Ooh, Courtney would have LOVED that trip! She's constantly talking about going to the zoo to see giraffes and elephants!
That's so funny hyrum and isa are so quiet whenever they see a panda picture!
Isn't that awful how much they jack up prices?! I can only imagine what you guys paid for those hoodies!
At least it was a fun day :)
