There was a cute playland by "Little People". It was definitely the best part of the zoo-the kids had a blast (especially with the sand).

Phoenix Zoo
We visited the Phoenix Zoo one beautiful morning- it was around 65 degrees :) James had to work so he got left behind for this one. He didn't miss out on much, the zoo was pretty lame. Most of the animals lived in such huge enclosures that were full of brush and they were all the way in the back. It was so hard to point out the animals to the kids! I did think this rhino looked "worth" a picture :) The Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha, NE is still the best zoo in my opinion.

we agree on the omaha zoo! I didn't know you had been there! We go once a year with the kids...only 3 hour drive! If you ever are going again..let us know and we'll join you!
You have such a cute family!! Hey, next time you are in Phoenix, you have to go to the Childrens Science center in downtown Phoenix! It is awesome and when my kids were younger it was their favorite place! We'd (including myself) would be entertained for HOURS! So much to do for kids!!
I still say San Diego Zoo takes the cake...:) But only because I've never been to the Omaha Zoo. :)
We need to plan a family reunion...or just an our family and your family reunion. :)
looks like your kids had a blast at the lame zoo! i guess that's all that matters, haha. that is a good shot of the rhino though :)
